I’ve made no secret of my political beliefs. Those beliefs are fibers of my being and ones I want to pass on to my children. They represent not just what I prefer from a policy standpoint, but the values and principles I hope my children will learn, cherish, and carry on long after my time on this Earth has passed. As I was watching the news coverage of the attempted assassination of Donald Trump I had many thoughts running through my mind that I want to share.
The Country’s Temperature Won’t Cool Until We Turn Off Legacy Media
I learned about the assassination attempt from a voicemail a friend left me last night. I couldn’t believe it and immediately turned to my account on Elon Musk’s X platform to get information. What I found is nothing short of embarrassing.
The legacy media were all too quick to make Trump and supporters at a packed rally in Pennsylvania sound weak by downplaying the incident. Some of those headlines are shown here. The despicable CNN described the Secret Service rushing Trump off stage because of a fall. The Jeff Bezos-owned Washington Post said Trump was escorted away after loud noises. The Stalinist MSNBC reported Trump safe after popping sounds. The world’s most ‘respected’ paper, the New York Times attempted to blame Trump supporters who created a ‘chaotic scene’ before President Trump was rushed off of the stage.
I turned my back on the legacy media a long time ago, and after the way they’ve conducted themselves pre and post-shooting, it should be clear to everyone that no one stokes the flames of division more than the media in this country.
Biden And Obama Aren’t Innocent Either
While the legacy media may be the biggest culprit, people like Barack Obama and Joe Biden have been raising the temperature for years. Just a few days before the shooting, Biden tweeted, “Trump has said if he wins he’ll be a dictator from day one.” That rhetoric has been parroted by the media for the better part of five years.
Ole’ Barack Hussein Obama isn’t any better. He’s described Trump as a ‘pig, racist, and not a serious person’ among other things, breaking a long tradition of term-limited presidents not criticizing their successors. Obama even aggressively campaigned against President Trump’s election, proving that no one adds fuel to the political fire faster or more effectively than one of the worst presidents in our country’s history.
Trump Is Standing In The Way Of The Democrats’ Plan To Ruin Traditional Values
It’s no secret that traditional American values of working hard, taking accountability for your actions, not concerning yourself with other people’s business, and capitalism are threatening to the plans Democrats have for the country. If it were up to them we’d all live in apartment buildings in the city, be forced to purchase electric vehicles, be vegans, have a 90% tax rate, rely on the government for basic needs, not attend church, and not be able to raise our kids the way we see fit. Donald Trump and Republicans stand in the way of that. So, naturally, we must be shot and killed.
Case in point, the shooter, whose name I will not be repeating because I am not even in the business of giving pathetic losers the time of day, was a Democrat donor. Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness and all the other words within the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution are threatening to weak-minded liberals. I just didn’t think they hated them so much that they’d try to kill the man attempting to uphold our founding documents.
We Need To Stop Hiring Unqualified People For Any Job, Especially The Important Ones
Diversity, equity, and inclusion, most well-known by the acronym ‘DEI’ is the pet project Democrats have latched onto for more than a decade. The premise is that America is so racist that success for anyone not born as 1) white and 2) male is out of reach. A form of soft racism, DEI has transformed the hiring process for the worse across the country affecting not just typical jobs, but important ones like doctors, military officers, and even the Director of the Secret Service, Kimberly Cheatle, pictured below:
My wife and I were talking about the craziness of women being on President Trump’s security detail. I have no problem with women on the advanced teams that scope out the locations before events begin. But why are women, especially small ones, tasked with serving on teams charged with risking their bodies and lives for presidents and presidential candidates? Donald Trump is a big man. A woman couldn’t forcibly move him to the ground or even block most of his head or chest from gunfire. They’re just in the way at that point.
But, Democrats are happy because a box was checked.
It’s Not A Gun Problem, It’s a Mental Health Problem
There are too many people on the streets with aggressive mental health issues. It’s been a growing problem ever since we largely took away the ability to institutionalize people against their will back in the 1960s and 1970s. You could take one look at the failed assassin and come to the conclusion that this guy looks like the exact type of person who would fire multiple bullets into a crowd.
The result of choosing to focus on a founding principle of America, firearms, instead of the growing mental health crisis in this country is that a hero is dead, multiple people were injured, and the next president of the United States was a quarter-of-an-inch away from being killed. Could you imagine what this country would have devolved into had this loser been successful for the first time in his life?
There Will Always Be Evil In The World
Immediately after President Trump was shot, the word, “staged” was trending on X. I want to say that again. The near assassination of a man who received over 137 million votes in the past two elections, was met with accusations of a staged assassination attempt by left-wing X users. Seriously, are we really not going to address the mental health issues facing this country?
This country is a powder keg because of the legacy media and people like Joe Biden and Barack Obama egging people on for more than a decade. And then when the inevitable happens, these people have their employees craft elegant statements in a way to wash their hands of the environment they’ve created. These are truly sick and evil people that we must beat, not through violence, but at the ballot box this November.
He’s Not My Favorite, But He Is Strong
Donald Trump is not my favorite politician, but I couldn’t help but realize the chill going up my back while watching the video of him raising his fist and saying ‘fight’ immediately after a bullet grazed his ear, just missing his brain.
It got me thinking about what I would tell my children if they were old enough to understand what had happened. In addition to everything I’ve written so far, I’d want to communicate the value of perseverance. The idea that if something is important to us, we never stop fighting for it. We’ll all face challenges. We will all fail from time to time. But we should never quit. Quitting is losing by another name.
It’s essential for conservatives. Whether it be from politicians trying to unravel the fabric of our country’s founding, the media helping to facilitate it, powerful institutions like higher education and entertainment beating us down, and even some aspects of Christianity and Judaism, we are fighting a battle on all fronts. We must be strong.
Thank The Lord That He’s Okay
I am genuinely scared to think about what our country would look like today if that 20-year-old loser had succeeded. All the terribleness that went down due to COVID and the situation with convicted criminal/drug abuser/waste of life George Floyd would have been child’s play compared to this. People overuse the phrase ‘Civil War’, but I think that was realistic outcome has President Trump’s head been turned a different way.
We needed a reset. Maybe this was the punch to the balls that we needed to recenter ourselves. The country has historically come together after terrible things, including assassination attempts, happen. I am confident that will happen here.
In my nightly prayers, I prayed for President Trump and our country. I am hopeful of what is to come and look forward to the future when I can hopefully talk to my kids about last night as the turning point that made America great again.
